The people of Orange woke on Wednesday morning to a sprinkling of the white stuff.


It wasn't enough to raise any great levels of excitement.



The flakes began to fall late on Tuesday night.

The Bureau of Meteorology has forecast a top of 5C today: "Cloudy. Medium chance of showers or snow, becoming less likely this evening with possible hail."


At 7.30am on Wednesday June 1, 2022, it was .3C at the airport, but it felt like -9.4C.

There is a 60 percent chance of rain.

Showers are forecast by the bureau across coming days:


Thursday: -1C to 9C. Partly cloudy. Patchy morning frost.


Friday: 0C to 8C. Cloudy. High chance of showers, most likely in the afternoon and evening.

Saturday: 1C to 7C. Cloudy. High chance of showers, most likely in the morning.


Sunday: 3C to 8C. Cloudy. Very high chance of showers.



Access roads to Mount Canobolas were closed at 3pm Tuesday due to predicted severe weather.
