A re-elected Liberal and National coalition government in NSW would tip around $400,000 into the creation of a "splash park" in Orange.

The Orange News Examiner has been told the attraction would be located in Moulder Park.

More detail about the splash park will be revealed when the National Party officially announces the promise in coming weeks, ahead of the March state election.

The Nationals will also announce a raft of other promises.

It is believed that if the conservative government wins another term, about $270,000 would be given to Orange City Council for a feasibility study into creating an Orange wine trail.

There will also be funding promised for fencing at The Pinnacle.

The current state MP for Orange is independent Phil Donato, who quit the Shooters, Fishers & Farmers party late in 2022.

The National Party's candidate for Orange is current councillor Tony Mileto, while Labor will be represented by Heather Dunn.

The state government has kicked in $1.25 million towards a new adventure playground at Orange Botanic Gardens under round nine of the Resources for Regions program.

“Not only will this grant make the new playground into a space that local families can enjoy throughout the year, but its location alongside the distributor road will entice travelling families to take a break in Orange," said Nationals MLC Sam Farraway.

Mayor Jason Hamling said: “This funding ... will let us make a start on replacing the old timber play equipment and start to build an attractive playground that will draw families for years to come."

He said consultants were considering the views of people who had their say on the council website, and that designs will follow.
