It’s rare to find a Federation property on a plot of nearly 2,600 square metres within cooee of the Orange CBD on the market.
At 703 Pinnacle Road such a property was sold this week.
It last traded in August 2021 for $985,000, but since then has undergone a renovation.
Our before and after photos show the impact the update has had on the property.
The 113-year-old house has 10-foot pressed metal ceilings, cornices, fireplaces, stained glass windows and polished floorboards.
Each of the three bedrooms have built-in wardrobes, and the new kitchen has Italian appliances.
The block was originally carved off from a neighbouring orchard.
The main house includes a mud room with double-glazed glass ceiling and hardwood sliding doors. There is ducted split-system air conditioning.
A detached studio is close to the main house, but not too close. It would be ideal as a guest pad or a home office.
There is a carport, large shed with three-phase power and brick entertaining area with fixed barbecue.
A double-sided verandah provides pleasing rural views.
There are established gardens, including fruit and native trees, a new driveway, hardwood post and rail fencing with automated gates and a reliable water bore and pump feeding into 7000-litre tank.
The selling agent would not comment on the price achieved, however it is believed to be around the $1.3 million mark.
