Early bird tickets for the second Orange Winter Jazz Festival have sold out.

The festival - on June 9 to 11 - will feature around 40 events. It’s not strictly a jazz festival, with roots music acts also booked to perform.

The lineup includes Paul Grabowsky, The Necks, Sandy Evans/Andrew Robson Quartet, Harry James Angus, The Vampires with Chris Abrahams, Lisa Oduor-Noah, Karen Lee Andrews and the Canberra School of Music Big Band.

Local artists include Pat O’Donnell, Riley & Ah-See and Matt Arthur.

The Royal Hotel will again host a free Live and Local stage featuring up and coming artists, local faces and school big bands.

The festival will be staged in venues including two of the city’s churches (Uniting Church Hall and Holy Trinity Anglican Church), Orange Conservatorium concert theatre and the Lord Anson Hotel.

This year dinner and show events will be staged at Birdie Noshery and Agrestic Grocer.

There will also be an “African Style Dance Party” at the Canobolas Dance Hall on Friday June 9.
