The owners of a pub in Orange have changed their mind on selling up and will instead hold onto the valuable asset.

The Orange News Examiner reported on May 14 that the Parkview Hotel had been put on the market by owners the Cochrane family.

Sources had priced the pub at about $15 million.

A campaign was launched by global real estate services company JLL.

Although JLL would not comment other than to say the Parkview had been withdrawn from sale, sources have told The Orange News Examiner that strong offers were made to take ownership of the property.

According to pub industry website The Hotel Conversation the Parkview is on nearly 1,500 square metres and has 14 ensuited hotel rooms with an occupancy rate of over 80 percent.

There are 12 pokies and "trading approval" until 3am.
