One of Orange's most upmarket restaurants will close within weeks

One of the city's premium dining establishments will close in a few weeks, according to a post on the restaurant's social media.

Zona Kitchen Bar Events on Summer Street made the announcement on Instagram on Tuesday.
"We would like to advise that we have made the difficult decision to close Zona Kitchen Bar Events," it read. "The last day being Wednesday 2nd November 2022."
Zona is victim to a chronic shortage of hospitality staff in the city.
"Like so many, encountering problems besetting the Hospitality and Catering industry, difficulty in replacing staff who are moving on and leaving the industry altogether is proving a challenge," the statement read.
"We would like to take this opportunity to thank our loyal customers and the community of Orange for your support."
Those who are holding a Zona gift voucher have beebn asked to contact the restaurant to make a booking.
