Major festival in Orange cancelled
By Peter Holmes
Organisers have blamed "uncertainty around large scaled outdoor events in recent months" for cancelling a festival at Heifer Station in April.
The Squeeze Festival - part of the A Day on the Green franchise - was to be held at the winery on Sunday April 24 and was part of a national tour headlined by Lime Cordiale.
Other acts on the bill included Client Liaison; Thelma Plum; Merci, Mercy; The Vanns; and Teenage Dads.
"We are so disappointed to announce that the Squeeze Festival dates will not be going ahead in 2022 as planned," said organisers.
"Unfortunately, the uncertainty around large scaled outdoor events in recent months has deeply impacted us and we’ve had to make a tough call."
However, they struck a hopeful note: "This isn’t goodbye, it’s a seeya later. We’ll be back in 2023 with a whole bunch of mates, travelling and performing around Oz, so stay tuned for Squeeze Festival updates."
Refunds will be automatically processed to the ticket purchaser's account.
Lime Cordiale fans will still be able to see the band in one of their upcoming headline shows across the country in April and May.
