Here we go again - cars stolen and one burnt out in Orange overnight

Two cars were being removed by tow trucks from Glenroi Oval early on Friday morning.

One, a white, open top Volkswagen, had been torched.

The steeling wheel had melted, and the rest of the inside of the vehicle was a charred ruin.

The second vehicle was a Honda Accord.

It had not been set alight.

There were fresh skid marks on the adjacent basketball court.

Locals reported hearing one or more cars doing burnouts on the courts early this morning.

Crews from Orange Fire & Rescue responded at 5:43am Friday and the blaze was quickly extinguished.

There were reports on social media of a number of vehicles either being stolen or broken into around Orange overnight.

Earlier this year there was a spate of cars being stolen and torched.
