Fifteen minutes from Orange, and a million miles from care, this country homestead is on the market

Meanwhile, Orange City Council has listed one of its assets - the rundown property at 94 Woodward Street - for sale.
The 1,838-metre block of land is part of a larger parcel owned by council.
It is between Emus Rugby Club and Woodward Street.
A renovator is needed to take advantage of the period features, including hardwood floorboards; stained glass windows; high, pressed metal ceilings; and cast iron fireplaces.
The listing states that there is an “opportunity for renovation and development”.
It will go to auction on Wednesday August 2, 2023. Settlement in December 2023.
Orange councillor Davis Mallard has said the balance of the council land could be used for affordable or social housing.
