A child has died after being bitten by a dog in Cowra.
About 10.20am today (Tuesday November 8, 2022), emergency services were called to a motel on Grenfell Road after reports a two-year-old boy had suffered serious injuries.
Officers from Chifley Police District attended; however, a member of the public had already taken the child to Cowra Hospital.
The boy was airlifted to Westmead Hospital where he died a short time ago - statement issued at 5:38pm Tuesday).
A crime scene was established at the motel, which continues to be examined by specialist officers.
Two dogs were secured and seized by local council.
